Woods Family Funland

Steve's really been working on what I like to call "Woods Family Funland."

For his birthday, his mom gave him an old gumball machine that he wanted. The only problem was we didn't have the key and the paint was all chipped off. Over Christmas break, Steve finally got to work on it, and now, it looks gorgeous.

(Moose is a serious fan of Reese's Pieces)

He also added cupholders and a way to keep score on the shuffleboard table.

What's next?

A pinball machine, of course.

If you are interested. Tickets into the Woods Family Funland are cheap...you just have to deal with the Michigan winter.

It's Always Somethin'

In our house, Steve is always working on something! Even when I want to lay around in my pj's all day, Steve has some giant project and someway, somehow, I get wrapped into it.

Now that it's super cold and always snowing outside, the projects are inside. I can't complain too much because his projects always turn out so great and make our house look even better.

For Christmas, I got this cool wine rack.

Now it's up and ready for more wine.

Then we (he) painted the living room wall and hung this giant clock.

The color makes this giant room much more cozy. I LOVE IT!

The next step is fixing the warped paneling in the mudroom and painting it. For now, it looks like this...

Oh well, if you are going to have a room that's a mess, it might as well be the mudroom.

Meanwhile, Moose is great. He sleeps about 23 hours a day. He's a complete bum in his old age (1year, 5 months).

He's so old he's getting gray hairs.
I think he's kind of embarrassed by them.
Maybe the gray hairs are coming from the stress of living with me (that's what Steve says). Maybe they are coming from the stress of me dressing him up.

Life is tough for this giant dog, but, hey, what's a girl to in the middle of winter in Michigan.
